Virtual Reality Super Bike Motorcycle Simulators Needed

!±8± Virtual Reality Super Bike Motorcycle Simulators Needed

Many young race bike motorcycle riders will attend super bike school so that they can hone their skills and become more proficient on the street. There are too many motorcycle accidents from crotch rockets in the United States of America and each year people are killed simply because they cannot handle the performance of the bike. Eventually if does that make it thru that initial learning curve they will become efficient and excellent rider, but in the meantime they can be quite dangerous.

Super bike classes are generally held on the track; a racetrack made for high performance motorcycles. This is where they will learn how to ride the motorcycle and handle all of its idiosyncrasies and performance issues. Unfortunately, the racetrack is much different than the street. On the street there are cars, which are always out there ready to hit you and on the track everything is moving about the same speed and in the same direction. Sure it is a good place to start but it makes sense to take this to the next level.

It is for that reason that I propose virtual-reality super bike motorcycle simulators. These simulators will have a motorcycle inside of a dome, which will actually be a flat-panel display and it will have actual scenery and real live simulated roads, turns and traffic. It makes sense to teach these young motorcycle racers how to ride on the street because that is where most accidents will occur.

The best way to capture all the footage needed for a race bike virtual-reality motorcycle simulator would be to put a camera on the front of a motorcycle and drive it through the streets of Atlanta, Boston, Los Angeles and also through many canyon roads with sharp corners and surprises.

Once the footage is captured it would go to a digital film room for editing and then it would be incorporated into a computer system that would run the virtual-reality super bike simulator. By doing this we could save lives and wouldn’t it be cool? Consider this in 2006.

MV Agusta F4 1000 R - The World's Best Motorcycle

!±8± MV Agusta F4 1000 R - The World's Best Motorcycle

The legendary MV Agusta F4 was introduced in 1997. Not before 13 years later, long after the retirement of the original designer Massimo Tamburini, has the factory decided to touch the motorcycles design. Their goal was not only to create the fastest or the most beautiful bike, but simply to create the best motorcycle of the world.

The design has only been changed where it was necessary for achieving better aerodynamics. The fairing's new, sharper design combined with the xenon/LED headlights and blinkers make the bike look modern. In comparison to the previous model your attention is drawn to the more compact size. The bike is one and a half inches less wider, the frame is shorter, as well as the fuel tank. Due to the shorter frame and the longer and lighter rear axle, the weight distribution is better and the driving capacity is even better than the previous model.

In line with the superbike rules, the engine is a four-cylinder 1000 cc monster, creating up to 186 HP. The maximum power is achieved at 12 900 RPM and the rev limiter will interfere 600 RPM later. The motorcycle comes standard with a slipper clutch and a traction control system adjustable into eight different modes. You can change the fuel injection from 'sport' to 'rain' and back with a press of a button.

The suspension is the familiar Marzocchi 50 mm USD in the front and a fully adjustable back from Sachs. The brakes won't let you down either, 4 piston radials from Brembo combined with the motorcycles dry weight of 192 kg (423 lb.) are guaranteed to make you stop no matter the speed.

The manufacturer says the frame, engine, rear axle and the rest of the components are clearly lighter than previously. Oddly, the reported weight of the motorcycle is exactly the same as in the previous model.

A Guide to Important Motorcycle Parts

!±8± A Guide to Important Motorcycle Parts

There are some motorcycle parts that are prone to require constant upkeep and a few minor adjustments here and there. If your ride feels uncomfortable, it could be a question of your riding style in combination with other things. However, it could just be your chains and sprockets. Your brand of brake pads could be the problem. Since all facets of the bike maintenance process are specific to motorcycles only, it is easy to spot when a repair is needed.

Typically, a motorcycle's brake pads come as one of two different types, either GG or GG. This is directly related to the friction co-efficiency of all your brake components. HH differs from GG in that it has more stopping power under a given force. However, that does not make GG less valuable than the HH. The types of brake pads you get is really a matter of riding style along with your balance and posture.

Some riders however, feel that HH pads wear down the brake rotors more quickly and that they tend to be a little "grabby." This is definitely because bikes are a lighter weight machine. An important mistake not to make is to fit GG pads on the front of your bike while installing HH brake pads on the back of your bike. On the other hand, a lot of motorcycle drivers find that having HH brake pads on the front of your bike and GG pads on the back, make for a very comfortable ride. Keep in mind that newer sports bikes should exclusively use HH brake pads. Always refer to the company manual.

Unfortunately, when it comes to chains and sprockets there is a lot of false information floating around. Sometimes even manufacturers supply you with misleading information, so be careful. The famous question that all bike riders ask, does an X-ring last longer than an O-ring? Or which one is better? In all reality, it all depends on your riding style. How much you use your vehicle and your weight also plays a role. If you lubricate your chains correctly and for every specific weather condition, you should be in good shape with either.
